I called Tree Heroes to trim our great live oaks. We’ve had these trees trimmed annually for the last 17 years and when George came out to walk the property he gave us a fresh take. When they did the job they were prepared, quick and precise and afterward my property has never looked better. These guys exceeded my expectations and I recommend this service.

Storm risk reduction prepares trees in Cypress, TX for high winds and heavy rain before storm season arrives. Texas weather is unpredictable, and Gulf storms expose the structural weaknesses in a tree: heavy limbs, crowded canopies and weak unions.
We reduce that risk in advance with targeted pruning and structural work, so your trees are better able to stand up to the next storm.
Our storm-prevention services include
Weight balancing
Evening out a canopy that leans or carries too much weight on one side.
Hazard limb reduction
Shortening or removing dead, cracked or overextended limbs over roofs, fences and driveways.
Canopy load management
Thinning dense crowns so wind passes through instead of loading the tree like a sail.
Structural reinforcement
Added support where a tree’s structure needs it, recommended after an on-site assessment.

Prevention costs less than damage
Preventive work reduces the risk of roof damage, fence damage, vehicle damage and liability claims. Proactive pruning is far more affordable than dealing with a failed tree after a storm.
Across Cypress, Waller, Tomball and the Katy edges along 290, we work on trees before storm season so homeowners and HOAs are not left reacting afterward.
Ideal for
Large trees near the house
Trees over fences, driveways and parked cars
HOA common areas and streets
Trees with a history of dropping limbs

What your neighbors say
Storm Risk Reduction: frequently asked questions
When should I prepare my trees for hurricane season?
Before it starts. Scheduling an assessment and storm preparation pruning ahead of the season gives time to do the work properly instead of in a rush when a storm is forecast.
Does thinning a tree really reduce storm damage?
Correct thinning lets wind pass through the canopy and reduces the weight at the ends of long limbs, which lowers the load on the tree. Over-thinning does the opposite, so we remove only what the tree needs.
Do you clean up or remove trees after a storm?
No. Our storm work is pruning and structural work that reduces the chance of storm damage in the first place. We do not offer tree removal or emergency storm cleanup.
